Diploma in Nursing Care Assistant (DNCA) course:
A nursing assistant (NA), also known as a nursing aide, is a healthcare professional who provides basic care and helps patients with daily activities:
- Daily tasks
NAs help patients with bathing, dressing, eating, and using the toilet. They also help patients with mobility, such as transferring them between beds and wheelchairs, and helping them walk with a cane or walker.
- Vital signs
NAs measure patients’ vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Communication
NAs communicate with patients and their families to build trust and understand their concerns. They also communicate with other caregivers to update them on a patient’s condition.
- Observation
NAs observe patients for changes in their physical condition and emotional state.
- Reporting
NAs report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses.
NAs work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home health care. They work under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs).
The job of a nursing assistant is to fulfill the basic needs of the patients . Apart from this, they also have to help the patients in their mobility. Here are some of the main duties of a nursing assistant:
- Helping patients bathe
- Helping patients get dressed
- Assisting patients with grooming
- Helping patients maintain personal hygiene
- Assisting patients in transferring from bed to wheelchair and from wheelchair to bed
- Helping patients walk
To become a nursing assistant, Diploma in Nursing Care Assistant (DNCA) course is done, which is generally of two years duration.
To apply for recruitment to the post of Nursing Assistant in Indian Army, candidates must fulfil these eligibility criteria:
- The candidate must have passed class 12th with Science stream from a recognized institute.
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English subjects should be there in class 12th.
- There should be at least 40% marks in all these subjects.

एन.ए. मरीजों और उनके परिवारों के साथ संवाद कर उनमें विश्वास पैदा करते हैं और उनकी चिंताओं को समझते हैं। वे रोगी की स्थिति के बारे में अद्यतन जानकारी देने के लिए अन्य देखभालकर्ताओं से भी संवाद करते हैं।
- अवलोकन
एन.ए. मरीजों की शारीरिक स्थिति और भावनात्मक स्थिति में होने वाले परिवर्तनों का निरीक्षण करते हैं।
- रिपोर्टिंग
एनए मरीज की स्थिति में होने वाले परिवर्तन की सूचना नर्सों को देते हैं।
एन.ए. विभिन्न प्रकार की स्थितियों में काम करते हैं, जिनमें अस्पताल, नर्सिंग होम, सहायता प्राप्त आवास सुविधाएं और घरेलू स्वास्थ्य देखभाल शामिल हैं। वे पंजीकृत नर्सों (RNs) या लाइसेंस प्राप्त व्यावहारिक नर्सों (LPNs) की देखरेख में काम करते हैं।
नर्सिंग असिस्टेंट का काम मरीज़ों की बुनियादी ज़रूरतों को पूरा करना होता है. इसके अलावा, उन्हें मरीज़ों की गतिशीलता में भी मदद करनी होती है. नर्सिंग असिस्टेंट के कुछ प्रमुख काम ये रहे:

- मरीज़ों को चलने में मदद करना
नर्सिंग असिस्टेंट बनने के लिए डिप्लोमा इन नर्सिंग केयर असिस्टेंट (DNCA) कोर्स किया जाता है, जो आम तौर पर दो साल का होता है.
भारतीय सेना में नर्सिंग असिस्टेंट के पद पर भर्ती के लिए आवेदन करने के लिए, उम्मीदवारों को ये योग्यताएं पूरी करनी होती हैं:
- उम्मीदवार को किसी मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान से साइंस स्ट्रीम के साथ कक्षा 12वीं पास होनी चाहिए.
- कक्षा 12वीं में फ़िज़िक्स, केमिस्ट्री, बायोलॉजी, और अंग्रेज़ी विषय होने चाहिए.
- इन सभी विषयों में कम से कम 40% अंक होने चाहिए.
